So the week before Thanksgiving I trained bubsy to work at vista cleaners. Besides telling her how to tag things is and how to help customers I also offered her my eight year knowledge of who are the nice customers and which ones you should watch out for. She still didn't seem all that excited to be there.
Don't tell my dad but I think she's just in it for the money. Don't tell her but there probably won't be that much money on vista pay. But really who can expect more? You kind of sit around a lot when there aren't customers.
To ease my boredom while training I made this fantastic sign. Bubs had the idea to use tags to make the sign cuter. It became quite the masterpiece. I plan on making the Christmas version next Friday when I work. Sigh.
That Saturday after a rousing day of training Emily and I went to Valdemart to get our oil change. Oh Emily don't you know that once a year is not often enough? She hadn't changed it since February. We walked around Walmart for the hour and a half it took for them to do both of our cars and shopped for the things we needed to make t-giving dinner. When we checked out I was a nice mom and bought my kid a Popsicle.
She kind of sickens me because her hair always looks perfect.
While checking out in the automotive area I looked up at the security camera television and noticed that my hair replaced the tile pattern. Now that is something to aspire to in your life.

The sunday before tgiving was Kendal's (devin's sister) birthday. She was turning thirteen. She is one of the cutest thirteen year olds that I know and the nicest. She really is a saint. In her room she has on her bulletin board one of the pictures that annie drew for her. She is so nice to annie any time we are over. They always hang out in her room and Kendal listens to annie talk about her life. I think I need to do a post introducing Devin's family to the blogging world. I'll have to work on that.
Early Tuesday morning two days before t-giving emily and I played martha stewart and used her receipe to brine our turkey. We were kind of very impressed with our efforts even though it wasn't that hard...but cooking t-giving dinner is a daunting task when its your first time. We put our turkey in a five gallon bucket to chill for a couple of days. Seriously only a mormon would have enough refridgerators to accomodate enough room to stick in a five gallon bucket.
Unfortunatley for me I took this picture at 9 in the morning pre-getting ready for the day. I generally look this disgusting when I go over to help get annie ready in the morning.
See Emily's blog for our thankgivites.
We also went to have tgiving with devin's family but I didn't take any pictures.
The Friday after t-giving we went to walmart at 10:30 am for some early morning shopping. I lusted after the cricket wishing I could buy it but eventually we just left with one amazing present for darling delia.
Later that day we went to my mom's parents house for a Mexican fiesta. Okay really just some mexican dinner.
And that friends brings us to this amazing weekend where we went with Annie to her friend Jordan's birthday party. Jordan was this girl who I met through my internship at mesquite jr. high. After talking to Jordan a few times it was clear to me that her and Annie needed to become best friends. She also loves hannah montanna, all things high school musical and she draws on every scrap of paper she finds. Her plus annie equals long lost soulmates.
Her party was of course high school musical themed. First we played some bowling on the Wii Jordan got for her birthday. Then Annie sang her heart out to high school musical karaoke.
Then we ate pizza and had cheetos and pretzels (three of Annie's main food groups). Devin was such a good guy and came even though he kind of just had to sit there for the whole party.
After that we played some more Wii and then opened presents and ate cake.
Annie made Jordan a very cute card and gave her hannah montanna pajamas.
(it took me a while to find out that my camera flash wasn't on aka my pictures kinda lame)
We ended the night playing Wii baseball and tennis. Plans were made to go to see enchanted the next day and to hang out every weekend for the rest of the year.
